Read These!

Hi guys!

If you know me you know I'm a HUGE reader. I pretty much have 3 or 4 books going at all times. I've made a list of books that helped me on my plant based journey and that I think are super important to read. Definitely check one or all of them if you need some recommendations for some summer reading.

 1. The China Study - This is book is what started it for me. It's a big read but it's so worth it. I'm also a big fan of his other books Whole and The Low-Carb Fraud.

2. Proteinaholic - Garth Davis is refutes all arguments for the necessity for a high protein diet in such a smart way (obviously being a doctor) and lays out how in fact a diet high in protein in detrimental to our health. I can't imagine reading this and still eating  animal products. Here's a video of him debating a high fat diet with Dave Asprey.

3. The Starch Solution- Browsing through Instagram and other health blogs I kept seeing the tags HCLF (high carb low fat) and people smashing in huge amounts of potatoes and rice. I had to know to reasoning behind this. After some googling I found this book. It does a good job showing why we need more good starches and carbs in our diet.

4. Your Healthy Journey - I picked this book up from Juice Press. This book is built from Dr. Bisci's own personal journey of a 100% raw food lifestyle for over fifty years, revealing an intimate relationship of real, fresh, organic food and the body’s incredible ability to always seek health.

5. The Beauty Detox Solution- I LOVE Kimberly Snyder. I love her GGS (Glowing Green Smoothie) even more. I can honestly say it changed my life. When I'm feeling a little 'off' I turn to her book to get me back on track.
