The Instant Pot Is A Life Changer

So I’m definitely late in the game to this kitchen game changer. Like, way late.

But I’m so obsessed with it I can’t not blog about it.

I’m talking about the Instant Pot. Have you heard of it or tried it?

Last year I remember my sister texting me that the Instant Pot was on sale somewhere and while she was super excited about I had NO IDEA what she was talking about. I thought it sounded like something from an infomercial. (Sorry Jenny!)

Fast forward to this year when my mom offered to send me her Instant Pot that she has never used. So of course I said yes and immediately wondered why the f I didn’t get one of these sooner.

So basically an Instant Pot is a pressure cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker and slow cooker all in one. So fricken efficient and a real space saver (especially if you have a tiny little kitchen like mine, every inch of storage and counter space counts).

This morning I made sweet potatoes in the Instant Pot in 10 minutes. And the were perfectly cooked. I’m the queen of undercooking potatoes in the oven, so  this is a life changer. Instead of waiting 60 minutes for a questionably cooked sweet potato, I get a perfect one in no time.

I love making rice, but it friggen takes FOREVER to cook, even in a rice maker. Again, I threw some in the Instant Pot and it was done in half the time.

Did you know that there is a sauté function? This is so awesome for chili or stews. You can throw your onions, garlic, whatever in the Instant Pot, saute it in the pot then switch to slow cook to cook the rest of the ingredients all in the same pot. I'm a big fan of less dishes.

I think my favorite thing about it is how efficient it is. I got rid of my rice cooker and my slow cooker and just use the Instant Pot. Time saver and a space saver. Perfect. I'm really excited to start cooking beans in it. I've tried to cook dried beans in the slow cooker and they never turn out good, always hard in the inside no matter what I do.

Since getting the Instant Pot I've been trying out some different recipes (I made a dope "beef" stew the other night) and can't wait to share what I've been making.

Does anyone else use the Instant Pot? Let me know if you have any good recipes in the comments. BTW, this isn't a sponsored post. I'm just really obsessed with my Instant Pot and wanted to share.
