How To Be A Morning Person

Hey guys!

Currently I'm reading The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM) and I am LOVING IT. You guys should definitely check it out. I'm about half way done with it.  The author is amazing:

I have listened to Hal on a few podcasts before I actually picked up his book and I have been tearing through it. 

One of my favorite things he talks about in the book is your mindset. How to make yourself wake up better and how when you wake up right away (Don't press snooze) and get shit done, it sets the tone of your whole day. Hal suggests the way to wake up easier is to make yourself excited to wake up. Like how when you where little you where stoked to wake up Christmas morning. He suggests  to "consciously decide every night to actively and mindfully create a positive expectation for the next morning." Basically, nighttime affirmations. 

This one has been a game changer for me. Instead of thinking "ugh I have to get up so early" I've been saying things like "I can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning, drink the delicious coffee in the fridge and slay my spin class. TOMORROW IS GOING TO RULE". I've been getting up earlier and easier. Sometimes I say it out loud and sometimes if Chris is sleeping I say it to myself but it works.

I suggest you guys give this a try and read the Morning Miracle.
