I’m currently training to complete my first 100 mile ultramarathon. This isn’t my first time attempting it, although this time I’m definitely going to finish. I’ve gone through some of the things that went wrong so I don’t do them again. The silver lining of a bad race is learning from it and not repeating the same mistakes. Ya live and you learn. So today I’m sharing what went wrong to help anyone else who is training for their first ultra.Read More
You guys, summer is officially here.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d much rather have the heat and the humidity over the snow and the cold any day of the week. Maybe it’s from growing up in Florida, but I just feel better running this time of the year. Or maybe that’s what I say to myself to try to make it easier, who knows?Read More
’ve been devouring High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard. One of the things he talked about was PROGRESSIVE MASTERY. Whats make it different then just putting in the hours and doing the same thing over and over is it focuses on the right kind of practice and monitoring your progressive along the way.Read More
I’ll be honest, this has been a hard post to write. It was such a special and, I know it sounds cheesy to say, life changing event that it’s hard to put into words the full experience.Read More
So I thought I’d start sharing what exactly I eat during my training. If you follow me on instagram (@lisalindeyeats) on my stories I usually show what I’m eating but I want to break it down and get specific of what and why.Read More
Hi! Hello! First Monday of 2019!
So I was all set to go on my long run and realized that my Garmin was dead. *FACEPALM* UGHHHH. Such a rookie mistake, amirite? Since Garmin (or at least mine) take forever to charge, I thought it would be a good time to talk about my running goals for 2019.Read More
I’ve been OBSESSED with beets lately. I feel like they are way underrated as far as “super foods” go. If you are a runner or workout, beets should be your new BFF. I’m currently ramping up for my next ultramarathon in December (a 50 miler in Florida) so I’ve been eating or drinking beets just about everydayRead More
I always feel like the couple days after a race I’m pretty brain dead. To be honest, I’m still not there a hundred percent but I wanted to write a recap ASAP so here we go.Read More
Man oh man, October 6th is coming up soon. I signed up for the Tesla Hertz 50k a week or two ago after going back and forth between a million races. Not really a million, more like 3, but anyways…Read More
Oh hey guys!
Just getting back in the swing of things after vacation and starting my training for my upcoming fall races (and beyond!)
My "A" race for 2018 is the Daytona 50. It was my first successful 50 mile finish. I'm looking to beat my 2016 time, which as long as I don't fall, shouldn't be a problem.
So summer is finally here and I AM SO EXCITED. I love running in the heat. There's nothing better then feeling the sun and not have to spend 15 minutes looking for your other glove. Maybe it has something to do with spending the first 23 years of my life in hot and humid Florida, or it's PTSD from the soul killing Boston winters. Either way, bring on the heat.Read More
So it’s no secret that I’ve been not running for a while now. What started as some tightness in my quad turned it a some major issues. Basically my whole body is outta whack so I’ve been spending some major time (and money) on physical therapy getting me back on trackRead More
One of the reasons I signed up for the Leona Divide 50/50 was to have an excuse to travel to Los Angeles. I'll be honest, I've never had a real desire to travel to LA. I don't know why, but when planning a vacation it just wasn't ever on the table.Read More
I'm not gonna bullshit you. This race wrecked me.Read More
After this Sunday's 25 mile training run, I felt like garbage. I've actually felt like trash ever since running the OSR30 the previous week. I mean, I know why. Leading up to the OSR30 I was on top of my recovery: foam rolling overnight, doing my stretches, epsom salt baths, and compression all the time.Read More
Every time I talk to my dad he asks me "How are your knees and are you getting enough protein?". I love my dad but these are the two questions I'm asked constantly due to being a plant based ultrarunner. (BTW, my knees are fine)Read More
